Ideas for Storing Your Make Up
No CommentsMake up products have been proven to enhance a woman’s beauty and/or to hide her flaws. These products generally include loose or pressed powders, foundations, blushers or blush-ons, eyeshadows, eyeliners and lipsticks among others. There may also be make up accessories like separate brushes or applicators.
Since each make up item has a specific shelf life, it must be properly kept. Storing is basically focused on maximizing such shelf life; improper storage cuts this short, expiring the item. Thus, right after acquiring any make up, it should be appropriately stored. To begin with, it must not be placed in a hot or warm area, or in a damp spot.
Whether for only a few or for many make up items, there are various commercially-available storage systems. For home, for travel, or for business (such as a beauty salon) uses, ready-made make up storage organizers come in many shapes, colors, styles, and sizes. They are usually made of metal, plastic, wood, or aluminum, and they have drawers, compartments, or layers.
Choosing what particular organizer to buy depends on the number of make up pieces. A few of such does not require a detailed storing process; many women opt to just place all in a small box (perhaps an unused shoe box) at home. And, when going out, a couple of pieces will easily fit in the purse.
Meanwhile, many pieces for personal use need a bigger organizer, with easy access as the main goal. There are elaborate specially made for make up organizers available in department stores, cosmetics accessories shops, and via the web. Fundamentally, for home make up storage, there are the freestanding cabinets and boxes with drawers. Many of these have slots or compartments really intended for specific make up items, for instance various lipsticks can be stuck in holes which are specifically designed to fit the standard lipstick kinds. For simple picking, classification of make up must be done. It may be per cosmetic type, or per shade or color, or per purpose (day or night make up). For quick touch-ups, several pieces may be placed in a cosmetic pouch which will fit inside the shoulder bag.
In businesses, there are large or extra large make up armoires, beauty trolleys, or closets, which usually come with mirrors and may come with wheels. Since a beauty salon has many different cosmetics, beauty products or gadgets, accessories and the like, it is suggested to organize items per category; all gadgets in one organizer, all cosmetics in another one, and all accessories in yet another one. Then, per organizer, further categorization must be done so that even a new employee will immediately know where to find needed things.
There are many make up storage ideas available on the internet or from the friendly staff of a local cosmetics store. Selecting one for either personal or for business use lies with the user’s specific requirements. But, before getting one, it is advised to have thorough inventory of the existing, as well as future, make up items, so storing them later will be a breeze.
