You will also need to check out the pH levels of your water by dipping a simple test strip and then adding the required pH product for a more balanced pH level that is not too acidic or to alkaline. It is always best to keep your pH level between 7.6  and 8.2.

Now that you know you need to add hot tub chemicals into your tubs to keep it clean, sanitized and in great working order,  you need not necessarily worry about it costing you a bomb. Just remember to test your water first for  the current level of chemicals and pH before you add in more chemicals because you do not want to overload your water with too much chemical which may be too much of an overkill.
